We always focus on value at our Friday night tastings – we love to showcase wines that are great quality, that deliver on taste but that also are in more attainable, everyday price points.
That is why we love to do our High End Tastings once in a while, to really get a chance to pull out some showstoppers and to introduce customers to some very special wine selections. Whether you are looking for a special bottle to enjoy for the holidays, to cellar, or simply to enjoy – this is a great opportunity to find that special wine!
Sometimes you taste a wine and think, yeah, its nice – complex, interesting, but just doesn’t WOW me. Then you taste a wine like the 2008 Benovia Pinot Noir and you can easily say, it will knock your socks off!

From a small, family owned business to now what encompasses a group of dedicated and passionate people working together in the vineyards and the winery.

“At Benovia, our team is an extension of an extraordinary family,” says Joe, “a family that eats, drinks, and breathes a lifelong passion for wine.” – owner
91 Points | 2008 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

“A big, strongly flavored Pinot Noir. What it may lack in subtlety, it more than makes up for in sheer power. Practically a food group in itself, with massive waves of cherries, raspberries, pomegranates, sweet rhubarb pie and sandalwood, wrapped into a silky texture. Drink now-2014.” Wine Enthusiast

We will also be tasting a wonderful Italian selection from Tenuta San Guido – producers of Sassicaia,

2009 Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto
“A rich, dense red, boasting black cherry, blackberry and spice flavors. Shows purity and a solid structure, followed by a fresh, lingering aftertaste. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese. Best from 2012 through 2020. 5,000 cases imported.”Pair it with spezzatino di manzo (classic beef stew).”

90 Points – Wine Spectator

We are excited to feature these wines and several more – hope you can join us this Thursday evening!
