Wine always makes a good gift…..especially for Mother’s Day! Now in addition to that wine, what you need to give her for Mother’s Day is the TIME alone or with her friends to enjoy it!

That being said, here are our top picks for wines that make wonderful gifts for Mom or that you can serve for Mother’s Day brunch!

Eve Chardonnay – Washington State

I love this Chardonnay because the flavors of the fruit really shine through. No over bearing oak or buttery flavor just crisp, clean fruit – pear and green apple. Serve this with roasted chicken or seafood. Perfect sipping wine for those Chardonnay lovers who are looking for something a little different.

Mommy’s Time Out Pinot Grigio/Garganega – Italy

Well aside from the absolutely PERFECT label this wine is a great little summer sipper! It is light and clean – great wine to enjoy on the patio or with light seafood or appetizers. This is the ultimate gift for any new mom – or any hard working mom that you know, who needs a little “time out” to herself! Trust us, it will be much appreciated!

Emeri Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc – Australia

This is such a great wine – it is just so different and we could totally see serving this at a brunch or luncheon. It is super refreshing and the bubbles are not harsh at all. You get a touch of citrus which makes it so nice for summer. Great for Mother’s Day – Bridal Showers – Brunch/Luncheons – Sitting Outside Chatting with your Friends – pretty much an all occasion wine here.

Crios Torrontes – Argentina

For those of you that have not tried Torrontes yet you are missing out! Think of it as having the body of Viognier….and the crispness of a Sauvignon Blanc. The aromas remind you of white spring flowers. We love “Crios” by Susana Balboa for Mother’s Day because of the meaning behind her label – “Crios” means offspring, and is in reference to her own children as well as the birth of these new wines.
